Intercession: Prophetic word- Case study 2

on June 6, 2012

This is a case study about an intercession for Mr’s C’s daughter (mother’s name removed for confidentiality). No info was given relating to the persons circumstances.

I would give my notes as inserted below to the person who requested me to intercede – therefore below find the notes as given to the mother. Sometimes people would confirm some or all info to be true, other times the person would be angry with me or avoid talking to me. In my experience the person that ask for the revelation or Word from God (you can decide what you want to call this) might not be willing to face reality or are not prepared for what is revealed. If the info is untrue it would be easy to indicate that.

I have put the scriptural references at the bottom of the document to ensure ease of reference. The scriptural reference is how the Lord talks to me about the person- so the scripture came first then further revelation or word of knowledge will follow.

The case study is about Mr’s C’s daughter (mother’s name removed for confidentiality). The mother said this to me :” I will send you my daughter’s name so that you check with God.” The mother never forwarded the name but my experience has shown me that the Lord does not need a name because He knows the person, which is in this case the daughter of Mrs C ( Mrs C has more than one daughter). I have only met the mother and do not know the history or circumstances of her children.

[ intercession date 22/04/12- time 20h40- … it usually takes an hour and a half- depending on what the Holy Spirit wants to reveal.]

  • I petition God to show me His heart re your daughter and also your daughter’s heart.
  • A weakness in arm ( to write) and in eyes and tiredness sets in. [this sets in when hindering or blocking spirits is at work; this might also refer to the attitude of daughter- is she ever tired or complain of weakness.
  • I experience a need to ensure my covering of God’s Armour is in place.
  • Hear wind; the number 26 come up – is this her age , what is the significance of 26 in her life.; colour purple come up; I can see a wave like at sea; get sense of exercise jogging
  • John 3: 5- is about the water and spirit baptism- spirit came upon Jesus like a dove- dove also represent meek personality – what is her personality type?
  • Looking back at my notes  it looks like because of inability to get through/ get revelation I went to bed and proceeded the next day.
  • Thigh: How is her physical walk – is she limping or is she not on the path God intended for her; skewed to the left… not strong in faith
  • James 1: 5-6-7; When she ask she must believe and not doubt because she is like a wave of the sea , tossed by the wind, because of this she should not think she will receive anything from the Lord- she is a double –minded person, she is not stable in what she does.
  • She lacks clear vision, have not enough faith, doubtful in her actions, she cut off her blessings by her own unbelief or doubt.- so nobody is robbing her – it is because of her own actions that she does not prosper or receive her intended blessings. She ask but does not believe.
  • She should ask the Lord for wisdom . James 1: 5;
  • Lacks faith- faith cometh by hearing the word of God. Flood her with the word. Make flash cards and memorise the word, put the word via audio messages in her ear, go sleep with cd’s playing….. hear…hear…listen…listen to the word… then she must speak it over  her life. The Lord says she does not hear enough of His word. How often does she attend church?
  • 1 Tim 1:7- for God did not give us a nervous /timid spirit but a spirit of power , love and sound mind.  . Her nature or personality : She gets nervous quickly, frightened easily, shy, lacks confidence, has little power , no drive 9 needs to be motivated or pushed.  Does she likes animals?
  • Self- discipline- she lacks self discipline because she tends not to stick to a decision, she can be easily persuaded to change direction. This might be the influence of friends . can she stand against her friends.
  •  I sense that she are tossed by wind- her friends misdirects her – they take her off the path – therefore her walk is skewed to the left.
  • Prayer: to break soul-ties with friend or those who influence her negatively.  Also prophetically pray about her personality- stability, confidence, and strength.
  •  Wind and waves in her life : she cannot control them – she needs help. Wind and wave cause destruction and take from her what is hers. These people in her life are cold, lack concern, and inconsiderate. Her life is rocky – not calm, she has high up (good days and feelings) and downs- borders depression due to mood swings, gets exited easily and deflated 9sad, emotional, discouraged) suddenly.
  • Her control or what set her mood is an outside trigger for she allows others to determine her direction or control in her life.
  • Through an open door I can see a bit of light – a bit of promise – open the door wide for light to enter in. invite Jesus to shed light on areas of darkness or weakness.
  • Psa 141: 3- watch out what comes from her mouth, encourage her to speak light –she speaks very little light/blessings over her own life. As she speaks light darkness will pass- I could see the darkness standing behind the slightly open door.- she must open the door further for more light to move in and darkness to flee.
  • Job 31: 32: she likes to help strangers or people in need; does she give people food or a place to sleep; does she bring strangers into your house. God wants her to know that He blesses people who look after the needy for they lend to the Lord. God always rewards them
  • Exercise jogging: Gal 5: 7, 10 she ran a good race but something happened that interrupted her race 9 something cut in)- this kept her from obeying the truth. The one that confuse her will pay the penalty for she has changed course. She might still be running but not a good race.  It is about who took or steered you away from the good race.  God says that He will judge the person who made you stumble, the person who took you off course.
  • She gets irritated quickly and bites back with a negative attitude for God says:You were called to be free, you were called to serve one another in love, stop biting or devouring each other – for you will destroy each other.

Scripture reference

1 Corinthians 13:1-9 New International Version (NIV)

13 If I speak in the tongues[a] of men or of angels, but do not have love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal. If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing. If I give all I possess to the poor and give over my body to hardship that I may boast,[b] but do not have love, I gain nothing.

Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.

Love never fails. But where there are prophecies, they will cease; where there are tongues, they will be stilled; where there is knowledge, it will pass away. For we know in part and we prophesy in part,

John 3:5 New International Version (NIV)

Jesus answered, “Very truly I tell you, no one can enter the kingdom of God unless they are born of water and the Spirit.

James 1:5-7 New International Version (NIV)

If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you. But when you ask, you must believe and not doubt, because the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind. That person should not expect to receive anything from the Lord.

1 Timothy 1:7 New International Version (NIV)

They want to be teachers of the law, but they do not know what they are talking about or what they so confidently affirm.

Psalm 141:3 New International Version (NIV)

Set a guard over my mouth, Lord;     keep watch over the door of my lips.

Job 31:32 New International Version (NIV)

32 but no stranger had to spend the night in the street,
for my door was always open to the traveler —

Galatians 5:7 New International Version (NIV)

You were running a good race. Who cut in on you to keep you from obeying the truth?

Galatians 5:10

New International Version (NIV)

10 I am confident in the Lord that you will take no other view. The one who is throwing you into confusion, whoever that may be, will have to pay the penalty.

Galatians 5:10 New International Version (NIV)

10 I am confident in the Lord that you will take no other view. The one who is throwing you into confusion, whoever that may be, will have to pay the penalty.
